Coaching: are you ready to grow?

You may be ready to move on or move up or just looking for more satisfaction in your current role. One-on-one coaching with someone who truly listens and asks the big questions can help you connect with your potential, wherever you’re at.

To make the most of coaching, you need to be willing to explore, challenge and change. Are you willing to try new ways of behaving, learning and working? Are you open to feedback and assistance from others around you? You also need to make the time and energy to participate fully in the coaching process, to create and implement your own decisions, choices and actions.

Be ready for changes in your life because they will come, whether incremental or exponential, as soon as you take a step down the coaching path with me!

Coaching FAQs

Um… what even is coaching?!

One-on-one coaching is a conversation led by you, the “coachee”, based on what you want to achieve. Your coach’s job is to guide you to identify and appreciate the values and abilities that you will bring to the fore and the actions you will take to achieve your goals.

Does it benefit my employer or me?

Both! Coaching can have a positive impact on your life as well as your career by helping you to:

  • establish goals and take action towards achieving them
  • become more self-reliant
  • enjoy more job and life satisfaction
  • contribute more effectively to the team and the organisation
  • be more accountable for actions and commitments
  • work more easily and productively with others
  • communicate more effectively.

What about team coaching?

Yes! This works in the same way, with the coach supporting the team to articulate and realise their goals. Coaching can make all the difference to teams at all stages of development from newly formed to disbanding. It can also be critical to successful inclusion of diverse team members for psychological safety, job satisfaction and maximum productivity.

What does a coach DO?

Firstly, let me tell you what I DON’T do – I don’t mentor, train, advise, teach, or do it for you. (I mean, I can do that, but then you’d be hiring me in a different role). I apply current best knowledge and coaching practices to partner with you. As a coach, my role is to support you in determining the most useful and desirable outcomes for YOU.

I work with clients in a safe, yet challenging learning environment to promote exploration, discovery and growth. You already have all the answers – my job is to ask you the questions that will help you unlock your potential and tap into your own resources. You can ask me questions too – though I may not simply answer them! I can also connect you with other resources to complement your self-guided growth.

How does it work?

Firstly, I suggest we have a chat about what you’re looking for and work out if my coaching will meet your needs.

If I’m the right fit for you, we’d kick off with an initial coaching program of 5 x 1 hour sessions (over about two months). And if it’s rocking your world, we could continue with another five sessions or whatever works for you – it’s entirely flexible and based on your needs.

Does it have to be in person?

Meeting in person is great! We can also achieve excellent coaching outcomes meeting online or by phone, so you choose what works best for you. For example, I know what it’s like to live in a remote area so I’m ready to overcome distance and other barriers you may experience in developing your potential.

Sounds good, how do I start?
